Our 24 hour fully manned Operations Centre can provide around the clock expert assistance for teams in need.

Dedicated Operations Centre

We believe that the only way to effectively support teams in-country is with a dedicated facility, possessing the requisite infrastructure, and staffed on a full-time shift rotation basis by staff who pro-actively monitor events.

Employing emergency management professionals

We recruit former emergency service and military professionals, as well as experienced Leaders, to ensure a calm and capable voice on the end of the phone.  Supporting them is a team of dedicated and specially trained World Challenge staff, and at least one Senior Duty Manager and one Duty Director at all times.

24/7 Proactive incident monitoring and response all year round

Outstanding support means more than just responding to incoming communication.  Our Operations Centre monitors all major media outlets, government advice and security portals to keep abreast of developments in-country.  Keeping teams informed helps them to help themselves and respond pro-actively to events on the ground.

Staff training and crisis simulation

Regular testing of our operational support infrastructure ensures that our procedures and staff function at a consistently high level.  These training exercises often include working with our external partners such as Capita, our international medical support agency.
