How can I support my child?

The amount of excitement generated by the prospect of leading their own expedition overseas will usually propel challengers through the pre departure phase of a World Challenge program.

To assist your child in their efforts to prepare and fundraise parents can observe the following:

Get involved with the challengers fundraising efforts

Parents can get involved too! Helping with job seeking or planning with fundraisers is a great way for you to contribute to your child’s development and success.

Get familiar with My World Challenge website

You and your child will receive unique log ins for the team's own website when you join the program. This will provide access to a range of specific information relating to the expedition, pre departure program and all important fundraising. Have a good look at the members area so you can help answer questions for your child.

Attend World Challenge meetings at your school

Some meetings are for challengers only but you will be invited to a number of practical and informative sessions at school before the team departs. These will provide you with important information, give you an opportunity to meet World Challenge staff and ask any questions face to face.

Get excited for them!

Sorry, there is no room for mum and dad on the actual expedition! The journey your child is embarking on will be life changing so feel free to build the anticipation and excitement at home any way you can.
