What people say about World Challenge - Africa
>> The expedition was more enjoyable than I expected and I feel that I have made a number of new friends. It was a once in a lifetime experience which I will never forget. <<
Rory Jackson, Challenger - John Lyon School, Uganda & Western Kenya
>> I am just emailing to say a huge thank you to you! I went on expedition to Zambia and Botswana this summer (2005 trip with Sackville Community College) and I had the most incredible time!! It was the most amazing trip and I would go a million times again!!
I made so many new friends within my team and out in Africa. We all said that we had learnt so much and had grown as a person due to this trip. We all wish we could go back and help more children in schools.
Since we have returned we have had "picture day!" the whole team attended and we looked at some pictures from our trip, caught up with each other, as many of us do not go to the same school anymore, and we also shared pictures. We have something like 2,220 pictures all together! Thank you again for the most amazing month of my life. <<
Rosie Perry, Challenger - Sackville Community College, Zambia & Botswana 2005
>> This really has been one of the best experiences of my life. I met people I wouldn't otherwise meet, experienced many different cultures and stayed in many places that were beautiful. I've tried many different African dishes and the main trek, although challenging, gave me a great sense of achivement, and it was just so magical to be standing above the clouds at the top of Meru. <<
Hannah Walthew, Challenger - St Ninans High School, Tanzania 2006
>> I am writing to personally thank you for ensuring that our World Challenge expedition made it to Zambia after South African Airways went on strike. I think I speak for the whole team when I say that we would have been extremely disappointed if we had to change destination after 18 months planning for Zambia. We all had a fantastic time out there as shown by a few of the many photographs that I have taken. Some of the highs were seeing all of the different animals, working on the project in Salamo, bartering in the local markets, seeing Victoria Falls, seeing the views in the acclimatisation and trekking up Lusemfwa Gorge. We worked well together as a team which made our time out there a lot more enjoyable. I seemed to be the only one that was able to light an open fire so I also got that job. Once again thank you. <<
