Duke of Edinburgh Award

We endeavour to offer young people the opportunity to count their expedition experience towards the appropriate section of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at the relevant level.

Each World Challenge expedition is unique and, as circumstances vary, much depends on meeting the necessary criteria laid down by the Award. Details can be supplied to each Challenger and information on how they can use their expedition as part of an Award is readily available for school staff.

As a Commercial Access Organisation, in the right circumstances we can issue an Access Credit which entitles a young person to register locally with the Award within six months of the expedition and have that experience signed in their record book as complete.

Woolworths
Since 2004, World Challenge has built and maintained a fantastic relationship with Woolworths in order to provide assistance to its challengers seeking part-time employment.  If the challenger is actively searching for employment to help fund their World Challenge expedition, we invite and encourage them to apply to Woolworths.

In support of the program that World Challenge facilitates, Woolworths is offering a ‘guaranteed first step’ in their recruitment process for all participating challengers, and as a result, World Challenge and Woolworths have helped over 150 students gain part-time employment over the past three years around Australia.

The mission of International Networking for Educational Transformation is to create powerful and innovative networks of schools that have achieved or have committed themselves to achieving systematic, significant and sustained change that ensures outstanding outcomes for all students in all settings.
