World Challenge provides educational expeditions that teach life skills, stretch comfort zones and expand minds outside the classroom. Our Expedition Leaders are a key factor in ensuring the success and safety of all our expeditions. Therefore, we not only look to recruit the best possible Expedition Leaders through our rigorous selection procedures, but also provide full training to to facilitate Leaders leading the best expedition they possibly can.
We aim to develop enthusiastic and motivated individuals' technical qualifications and practical experience through a combination of training courses and carefully selected placements on existing expeditions.

Potential Leader Training and Assessment Courses
All Potential Leaders must attend and pass our Potential Leader Training and Assessment Course before they are eligible to lead a World Challenge Expedition. Potential Leader Training and Assessment Courses are held every year between March and May in capital cities around Australia.

The Expedition
1 to 6-week self-sufficient expeditions to 55 amazing destinations across the world. World Challenge expedition participants (Challengers), are typically 13-19 years old with an average team size of 12.
Challengers will have been participating in a team-building and skills development programme for 9-18 months prior to this expedition, raising the funds and the majority of teams will have helped to plan their itinerary too.
