Borneo expedition reviews
My expedition to Borneo was definitely the most rewarding experience that I have ever had. I now feel that I have achieved life long skills and some great friendships. The expedition to Borneo wasn't something that you get to do everyday especially trekking in remote jungle and helping out at a local village. This experience has made me think more about how lucky we really are and how much we need to appreciate each other and the environment. World Challenge has opened my eyes to what's out there in the world and if you get the opportunity to do something like this, then go for it!

The World Challenge expedition to Borneo opened a doorway to a new culture, new people and a different lifestyle. I feel fulfilled leaving Borneo with a better understanding of myself and the challenges the world has to offer. Reaching the top of Mount Kinabalu was an incredible challenge for me but being able to stand on top of the peak of 4095 metres high, above the clouds was an image which will never leave me. This was a truly memorable journey for me.
Benjamin McMahon, Challenger, Carey Baptist Grammar School
This experience was more than what I expected; not only did it exceed my expectations in terms of challenge, and level of independence we were given, but it greatly exceeded what I thought I would get out of the trip. I think I am more confident and independent. A month sounds like a long time, but it went so incredibly quickly.
Sophie Hoy, Challenger, Firbank Grammar
It was so fulfilling to see the way the students embraced the nature of this expedition. I felt so proud of the way they worked as a cohesive team and the development they displayed both individually and a s part of that team. The expedition has certainly equipped them with many valuable life skills that they will be able to apply in all their future endeavours.
Jodie Warner, School Leader, Ruyton Girls' School
Our expedition in Borneo was awesome. We gained invaluable skills that will serve us all later in life. We were pushed to our limits in the jungle and on the mountain. The satisfaction gained at the end of each phase made all the hard work worth it. I know that I will always look back on our trip with fond memories. I can't wait to start travelling again and I encourage all students interested in travelling and challenges to give World Challenge a go.

Knowing that you've achieved something you never thought you could've is the best feeling ever.
Stephanie Price, Challenger, East Doncaster SC
I feel that I have greatly benefited from this trip. It has helped me achieve so much, such as all of the little things you do that help you gain more confidence, independence and appreciation for what we have. After doing this trip I don't think there is anything else out there that could give me such a high level of self-achievement like this has.
Peta Large, Challenger, Lockyer District High School
I experienced things on this trip I would never have dreamed of at home. I am so glad that I put my hand up for this trip and would definitely do it again!
