Enjoy spectacular trekking in a variety of stunning locations. Explore the lush green jungle in the some of the world's oldest rainforest or tackle the summit of Mt Kinabalu! Assist in both community projects and conservation initiatives. Relax by the stunning coastline and experience the unique and diverse Malaysian culture.
Borneo is located in the South China Sea, and supports a profusion of plant and animal life. Teams travel through the states of Sarawak and Sabah, located in the northern half of the island and make up East Malaysia.
Borneo is suited for fit teams who are seeking more adventurous trekking in reasonably tough conditions. Not a destination for the faint hearted!

- Visit the orangutan rehabilitation centres at Sepilok or Semenggoh.
- Cook over an open fire whilst trekking in the jungle.
- Haggle for gifts and trinkets in the Filipino market in Kota Kinabalu.
- Live alongside the local community in a homestay whilst on your project.
- Catch a boat out to the islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park and chill out on the beach to finish off your expedition.

- The local jungle guides have a wealth of knowledge. Ask them to show you some of their jungle skills.
- When trekking through the jungle 'Do as the locals do'.
- Borneo is the World's third largest island and one of very few destinations on earth where you can see the orangutan in its natural habitat!
- The practice was outlawed in the 20th century, but Borneo was once known for its headhunters, who would take the heads of enemies when the community was suffering a plague.
- Borneo boasts a huge biodiversity including mountains, rainforest, mangroves and beaches and many endemic species including the proboscis monkey with their long comical noses.
- Towering up to 4095m above sea level, Mt Kinabalu is one of the highest mountains in Southeast Asia.
