Ecuador & Galapagos expedition sample itinerary

Some possible expedition objectives are given below, please note these may alter between now and your expedition. The Expedition Program Manager for Ecuador will agree a suitable expedition itinerary for you, to best match the abilities and aspirations of your team.

Acclimatisation
Lush cloudforests, Andean grasslands and high altitude lakes welcome teams as they undertake acclimatisation treks around the country.

Trekking
Home to some of the world's highest and most stunning volcanoes, teams can choose to summit one of these after a 5 day main trek in the cloudforest or the Andean mountains. Extremely fit teams may choose to tackle the Around Cotopaxi trek, which includes trekking up to the glaciers of snow-capped Cotopaxi and then summiting Ruminahui volcano.

Project
Ecuador has a wide variety of projects based in indigenous highland villages or rural villages in the Amazon basin. Teams can also decide to complete their project in the Galápagos islands where they can have a hand in current conservation efforts working with the Galápagos National Park.

R&R
Teams will be lucky enough to spend their R&R phase in the Galápagos Islands where they can embark on a short land-based cruise taking in some of the amazing wildlife sights and volcanic landscapes along the way.
