Climate: Belize has a subtropical climate characterised by two seasons: a rainy (Jun-Nov) and a dry season (Dec-May). The mean (average) temperature in Belize City is 23°C  in December and 27°C in July. The climate of Mexico varies substantially. The climate in the desert regions are typically very hot during the day and cool at nights. In general, Mexico City enjoys spring weather year-round with cooler evenings. Jun-Sep is the rainy season. The lowlands are characterized by a hotter, more humid climate than the higher elevations of the country.

Maya Route expedition overview

This expedition will take you through some of Central America's most spectacular countries. You will journey through the colourful world of the ancient and modern Maya, from the volcanic peaks of Mexico to Belize's jungles and the Caribbean Coast.

Visit Mayan ruins, beautiful beaches, volcanoes and vibrant markets. Few places offer such a great combination of cultural and natural wonders. There are several possible routings, giving lots of flexibility to teams exploring the land of the Maya.
