Location: Russian Siberia.
Duration: 21 to 28 days.
Ideal for: An adventurous expedition for teams looking for a physical challenge in a unique environment.
How tough 1-5 (5 being difficult): 4-5 (depends on trek).
Typical accommodation: Hostels and tents
Terrain: Mountain and altitude.
When can I travel there?: May-Sep.
Climate: There really are only two main seasons in Russian Siberia, summer and winter offering fairly significant extremes in weather. Winters are bitterly cold, whilst the summer (May-Sep) offers highs of up to 30°C during the very best weather and a completely frost-free period of around 120 days. The summer is almost the wettest time of the year, although precipitation levels are fairly low and rarely spoiling the actual day.
Culture shock 1-3 (3 being very different from home): 2.
