India expedition reviews
As a teacher, this is one of the best learning experiences I have been party to. I have never been so proud of a group of kids. This program has challenged the students to their best! The World Challenge ethos of Participation, Environment and Challenge really came to life on the trip - each of the students understood the relevance. Watching a group of nervous, needy students turn into independent, efficient, thoughtful young people is something I wish everyone had the opportunity to witness. This is a time that no one on the expedition will forget.
Lynda Goldsmith, School Leader, Warragul Regional College
As the expedition progressed, each individual grew as a person and we grew together as a team. The expedition was one of the most amazing, challenging, life-changing experiences I will ever have. I have formed and strengthened bonds that I believe I will keep for life.
Keagan Vaskess, Challenger, Warragul Regional College
Our trip definitely opened my eyes and I can already feel a change in me. I hope others can see it in me as well. I came out of the expedition just thinking ' I am so blessed'. It has been a great trip with high's and low's, but it was a great challenge in the end, and I have plenty of stories to tell back home!
James Moody, Challenger, Cheltenham Secondary College
The World Challenge trip was an amazing experience. Whilst I had experienced other cultures before, I think one of the real positives of the program was the intensity with which we were immersed in Indian life. The expedition leader was a great help, giving us advice when we needed it but also withholding opinions so we could form our own. I felt like I got a lot out of this trip, especially in my confidence in my own abilities. An amazing experience!
William Howes, Challenger, Melbourne High School
The whole trip has been a fantastic experience. It has been a roller coaster ride for the teaching team and pupils. The whole group found every stage to be challenging both physically and mentally. I think the trek phase was most successful and had the most rewarding moments, but the culture shock of Delhi... Agra will be something all of us will never forget. The team went from strength to strength and felt like a small community , who I will be sad to leave when I go home.
Faith Williams, School Leader, Borden Grammer School
A very worthwhile venture! Both staff and students have had a fantastic time and most challengers are looking to undertake similar travelling in the future. Students have grown in confidence and are a very close team after their experiences. The leader supplied by World Challenge really fitted in well with the team and assisted them when problems arose. A thoroughly enjoyable time and a positive experience for all involved!
