Acclimatisation Phase

Once in-country the teams will have some time to get used to the terrain, altitude and environment of their destination. This also gives them the chance to deal with any administrative and planning tasks. For some, it will be their first experience in a foreign country so this phase will give them time to adapt to the cultural differences of their new environment.

An acclimatisation trek helps prepare the team for the tough challenges to come. As with all elements of the expedition, the difficulty and location of your acclimatisation trek will be decided by the team.
